Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment has announced the launch of Activate, an active gaming experience, in City Centre Mirdif this September.
The facility will be the first of its kind in the MENA region, developed in partnership with Canadian company Activate Games.
Activate offers nine-game rooms equipped with technology that responds in real time. Each room accommodates two to five players and challenges both physical and mental abilities.
The experience includes over 50 games, such as the popular Mega Grid, featuring more than 500 multi-activated coloured lights.
The facility caters to individuals aged six and above, with difficulty levels ranging from easy to extreme. Players can choose between cooperative and competitive modes.
Guests can aslo track their progress on a global scoreboard, as each Activate facility is designed with identical game rooms.
Activate, founded in Winnipeg, currently operates over 30 locations in Canada and the US, with plans to open 15 more in North America this year.
