Egyptian superstar and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is likely to remain with the Premier League club.

Salah has been heavily linked to a move to the Saudi Pro League, and Liverpool fans were worried that the departure of manager Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season could see the 31-year-old taking up an offer.

Salah and Klopp have been important fixtures over the years for the club. The German manager was key in Salah’s to the club from Roma for a then-club record fee of £36.9 million in 2017.

Liverpool’s star player

In his first season with Liverpool, Salah was the top-scorer in the League with 32 goals. He then played a crucial role in the club winning the Premier League in 2019-20, the last time any club won the title before Manchester City started their four-season winning streak, as well as the team’s 2019 UEFA Champions League triumph.

Salah’s contract expires in June 2025.

Two days after Liverpool finished third in the Premier League table, trailing champions City by 10 points eventually, Salah indicated he is up for at least another season with The Reds.

In a post on X.com, Salah wrote: “We know that trophies are what count and we will do everything possible to make that happen next season. Our fans deserve it and we will fight like hell.”

After nine years at the helm of Liverpool, Klopp will be replaced by the current Feyenoord coach Arne Slot, who has signed a three-year deal.

With 18 goals this season, Salah was Liverpool’s highest goalscorer, with Uruguayan Darwin Nunez second at 11 goals and Diogo Joto third with 10.
