Saudi Arabia and Bahrain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the sports sector.
The agreement, signed in Paris on Sunday, aims to enhance cooperation between the Saudi Ministry of Sport and the Bahraini General Sports Authority (GSA).
It specifically covers areas such as sports investment and marketing, sports facility management and maintenance and development of sports facility investment mechanisms.
The agreement also envisages the establishment of academies and talent scouting, sports staff training and development, long-term player programmes, and the management of sports events, including exhibitions, tournaments, and competitions.
Additionally, it seeks to promote community sports, women’s sports, Paralympic sports, and combat sports, as well as collaboration in sports medicine and anti-doping efforts.
